Dr. Garima Kumawat is working as a Teaching Cum Research Officer, School of Internal Security, Defence and Strategic Studies (SISDSS). She completed her PhD in Maritime Security from the Department of International Affairs and Security Studies, Sardar Patel University of Police, Security and Criminal Justice, Jodhpur. She is an Indian Council for Social Science Research (ICSSR) Doctoral Fellow and received the ICSSR full-term Doctoral fellowship in the year 2021. She has completed her Post Graduation in Political Science from the University of Rajasthan, Jaipur. She worked as a Research Intern at Observer Research Foundation,New Delhi. Her areas of research interest are India’s MaritimeSecurity, Indo- Pacific Studies, India’s National security and Foreign Policy, and worldpolitics.
