Description
The purpose of this program is to provide an understanding of skill-based language learning.
This 3-day workshop will enable the participants to polish their skills, at the same time, making
them understand the demands of the workplace by ensuring an effective communication.
Objectives of the Programme
As a result of attending this workshop, participants will be able to:
1) Write more effectively and efficiently
2) Use more competent, confident speaking skills
3) Combine these skills to help them communicate more successfully during their day-to-day
interactions with others
Important Information
The program will be conducted in Online Mode & E-Certificate will be provided to all registered
participants.
Platform: University LMS Platform.
Programme Structure: 4 hours of session on 26th May 2024 and
2hours of session on 27th and 28th May 2024.

Mr. Arghya Chakraborty is Assistant Professor, English Language at the School of International Cooperation, Security and Strategic Languages (SICSSL) since January 2023.
Devjani is an Associate Professor at the Department of English, Miranda House, Delhi University. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature from Presidency College, Kolkata, a Masters from Delhi University, an MPhil from JNU and a PhD from the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, IIT Delhi. During her doctoral studies, she was awarded the Charles Wallace Trust grant for research in the UK (2015). Her doctoral thesis is on Bengali children’s periodicals in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century. Her interests lie in childhood studies and its intersections with other cultural projects, particularly critical literacy, pedagogy and nationalism. Her work has appeared in several journals. She also writes extensively for newspapers and news websites.
Sukanya Das is working as a Post-Graduation Teacher under Assam State Government. She has pursued her degree and masters from Miranda House, University of Delhi. She has also completed her Bachelor in Special Education on ‘Disability Studies’ from University of Delhi. She is a facilitator of Spoken English course and a Master Trainer of Life skills Education. She is also designated as a Nodal Teacher on Career Guidance and Counselling, Nodal Teacher on Child Safety & POSCO Act. She is also an expertise in the field of INCLUSIVE EDUCATION. She has 9 years of work experience in the field of education.
Ms. Runali Basak is working as an IELTS Instructor in Kanan International Private Limited. Ms. Runali has completed her B.A. and M.A. in English Language and Literature from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. Ms. Runali has more than 10yrs of teaching experience as an IELTS Instructor. Previously, she was working with Planet Education and has achieved popularity in training students for IELTS/TOEFL exams.
Ms. Karishma has specialization in ‘Personality Development, English Language & Soft Skills Training’ with 8 years of Industry Experience and extra-ordinary coaching skill sets. Ms. Karishma regularly conducts sessions and training programs on ‘Business English’, ‘Public Speaking’, ‘Email Writing’, ‘Motivational Seminars’, etc. Her course content is developed with research reflection, field experience, industry experience and most importantly it’s original and result-oriented.
Ms. Wang Chiehyu
Assistant Director and Subject Matter Specialist (Mandarin Language)
Ms. Wang Chiehyu is a Subject Matter Specialist in Mandarin Language at the School of International Cooperation, Security and Strategic Languages (SICSSL). She is the Program Coordinator for Chinese Studies at the School. Ms. Wang is an expatriate Mandarin language lecturer who has a Republic of China’s Ministry of Education Certificate of Proficiency for Teaching Chinese as a Second/Foreign Language. Her expertise is in Chinese teaching at all levels, Chinese-English translation, Chinese news guide, and Chinese writing. She has taught as Senior Language Instructor for a Govt of India project (September 2017 to May 2019); Senior Language Instructor at Chitkara University Punjab Campus, Rajpura, India (September 2019 to July 2020); Visiting Fellow at the Taiwan Education Centre India, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi (March 2015 to June 2017); Program Director, Senior Language Instructor and previously Language Instructor at the Taiwan Education Centre India, Amity University, Noida (April 2012 to March 2015); News Desk convener, International News Centre / English to Chinese Translator, CTI Television Incorporation, Taipei, Taiwan (July 2011 to March 2012); Vice Group Leader of International News Centre / English to Chinese Translator, Apple Daily, Taipei, Taiwan (November 2002 to June 2011).
