SICSSL is pleased to announce a Certificate Course in the French language. The content covered will be equivalent to the DELF A1 level as specified under the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL).

Given below are the details of the Course along with the fee structure:
COURSE DETAILS
Ø Duration of the Course: 150 hours – Classes will be held offline only, in the primary campus of RRU in Lavad.
Ø Frequency of Classes: 2 hours per day, from Monday to Friday
Ø Timings: 3.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m.
Ø Course Fees:
a) Students: Rs. 5,000/- for the entire course. (Students will have to invest separately in the textbook + workbook)
b) Staff: Rs. 7,500/- (Staff will have to invest separately in the textbook + workbook)
c) Faculty: Rs. 15,000/- (The textbook + workbook will be provided)
Payment can be made in 2 instalments.
Part I: 17th February 2025 to 17th April 2025.
Part II: 21st April 2025 to 09th June 2025.
DEADLINE TO APPLY FOR THE COURSE: Since textbooks will have to be procured for all category of participants, we urge you to register for the course by the final date of registration. This will help avoid any delay in beginning the course.
IMPERATIVES:
Ø 85% Percent attendance is mandatory for the course if one is to obtain the desired result.
Ø Class work and homework will be considered as part of assessment and therefore regularity in both is an imperative.
Ø A new notebook for the Course. Additional requirements for preparing notes will be explained in class.

The course includes mock tests for the DELF A1 level Certification Examination offered by the Embassy of France.

Jui Natu
Subject Matter Specialist (French Language)
Ms. Jui Natu is a Subject Matter Specialist (French Language) at the School of International Cooperation, Security, and Strategic Languages (SICSSL) since August 2023. She has over 18 years of professional experience in teaching French and was working as a French-to-English language translator. Ms. Natu holds an M.Phil. in French from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, and an M.A. in Indology from Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth, Pune. She also cleared the National Eligibility Test in 2002. Ms. Natu has taught French at various institutes across Pune, Maharashtra. Notable among these are the National Defence Academy (NDA) (2022-2023), the Symbiosis Institute for Foreign and Indian Languages (SIFIL) (2008-2009, and 2022-2023), Symbiosis Skills and Professional University (SSPU) (2022-2023), Alliance Française de Pune (2005-2006, 2010 and 2012), and Fergusson College (Junior and Senior College) (2019-2022). She has also worked as a French language translator with BITS India Pvt. Ltd. (2005-2008) and thereafter as a freelance translator for various clients. She has translated documents from the domains of Automobile, IT, Medical, Banking, etc.
