Description
The Centre for Traffic Management & Road Safety (CTMRS), under the School of Internal Security and Smart Policing (SISSP), is pleased to announce a specialized Driving Simulator Training Programme with complimentary theory sessions on safe driving skills and road rules. This program offers an excellent opportunity for four-wheeler driving license aspirants to gain practical knowledge in a safe, controlled environment. Over five comprehensive days, participants will learn vehicle controls, practice manoeuvring in varied conditions, and build confidence in handling real-world scenarios. Successful completion of the course will not only strengthen driving competence but also support candidates in obtaining their driving license from government authorities.
What you'll learn
Driving simulators based training provide a safe and realistic way to learn essential driving skills without physical risk. They help beginners master basic vehicle control such as pedals, steering, and gears, while also reinforcing traffic rules, signals, and lane discipline. Learners develop hazard perception and defensive driving techniques by anticipating risks like sudden stops or pedestrians crossing unexpectedly. Simulators also allow practice of advanced manoeuvres including parking, merging, overtaking, and navigating roundabouts. Beyond everyday driving, they prepare learners for challenging environments such as night driving, heavy rain, or fog, and specialized situations like hilly terrain, flyovers, or driving alongside large vehicles such as buses and lorries. This comprehensive training builds confidence and competence in a controlled, repeatable environment.
