Ms. Chuan Chih Yang

Description

Chuan-Chih Yang is a Subject Matter Specialist in Mandarin Language at SICSSL since April 2025. Originally trained in medical sciences, she holds a BSc in Medical Imaging from Chang-Gung University (2005), an MSc in Biomedical Engineering from RWTH Aachen (2009), and a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Magdeburg (2020). Driven by a deep passion for Mandarin, she began teaching the language to foreign students in Taiwan and India, emphasizing student-centered learning tailored to individual goals. She has also developed cultural modules such as Calligraphy Writing and Chinese Classical Poetry Appreciation, and supported students preparing for the TOCFL exam. Yang completed a 120-hour Chinese Teacher Training Program at Tunghai University, Taichung, further enriching her pedagogical approach.
