Gujarati is one of the ancient and rich languages of India, with its roots dating back
to the 12th century CE. Today, Gujarati is spoken by more than 60 million people
worldwide. As one of the constitutionally recognized languages of India, Gujarati
has played a significant role in the country’s cultural, literary, professional, and social
development.
Gujarati is not merely a medium of communication; it is a reflection of a living
culture, literature, and philosophy. The demand for the Gujarati language is steadily
increasing in the fields of business, education, media, public administration, and
culture. Especially due to Gujarat’s strong industrial and commercial presence,
effective knowledge of Gujarati expands professional and academic opportunities.
The objective of this workshop is to develop participants’ ability to speak, write, and
